“Why is Akane So Strong? – Story ideas

Sometimes I get ideas for stories by looking at other people’s fics. There was a summary that I read on MM.org that asked, “Why Akane was so strong?” I didn’t actually read the story but that question suggested two ideas to me. I don’t know when I will get to work on these. I am already working on three stories that need to be finished. I really should try to complete at least one of them before I start developing one of these ideas into a story.

OK! This is just a concept at this point. What if Akane was adopted by the Tendos? The idea here is that Washu made two “children” with Ryoko as one of them and Akane the other. That will be the explanation of why she is so superhumanly strong. We will also have Nodoka as the daughter of Katsuhito Masaki, making Ranma another Jurian prince like Tenchi. On a trip to visit his Ranma’s grandfather and cousin Tenchi, Washu recognizes her other daughter and awakens Akane to the rest of her powers. Ranma discovers that he’s the prince of a stellar empire.

Another concept on why Akane is so strong.

Story prologue would start with Genma out in the woods. He’s bummed because he found out that Nodoka can’t have any children and his buddy Soun’s wife gave birth to a stillborn child. Very sad. Then in the woods nearby there is an explosion like from a meteor hitting the earth. Genma goes to investigate.

When he gets there he finds a ball-shaped metal pod. As he approaches the door opens and inside he finds two babies, one male and one female. Each has a brown-furred tail. When he picks up the boy baby a beam of light shoots out of the pod and projects a hologram. The being is tall and of regal bearing with spiky hair. He also has a tail like the children. He proceeds to explain that his people, the Saiyans have been subjugated by an evil tyrant called Freeza. Under this cruel being’s rule the fate for the children of two families would have been to be sent to some planet where the full moon would transform them into their full ape form and they would then destroy all life to prepare it for Freeza’s conquest.

The two Saiyan families didn’t want this fate for their children and they found an experimental space pod. This pod could put the children in a form of hibernation that would allow them to sleep for centuries or even millennia. The pod was designed to travel to a distant galaxy where it would then seek out an inhabited planet to land on.

The holographic Saiyan warns that the children could transform into rampaging beasts under the light of a full moon and recommends that their tails be removed.

Genma cuts the tails off the children and then takes the girl baby to his friend Soun to replace the baby who was born dead. The boy child he takes to his wife Nodoka.

Next we fast forward to the start of the Ranma story when Ranma and Akane meet. When Ranma fell into the spring of drowned girl it didn’t turn him into a human girl but a Saiyan girl complete with tail.

I have a flood of ideas coming to me about this one. When in Neko-ken training instead of being afraid, chibi-Ranma gets angry and goes super saiyan. Net result, no fear of cats.

When Ranma gets knocked into Nyanniichuan she goes super saiyan and is firing ki blasts. When they get to the cliff where Ryoga was standing, Ranma hears Ryoga cry out as he is falling and flies down to catch him and prevents him from landing in one of the springs. Ryoga falls in love with the strange girl who has the same name as his hated rival. Walking off in a bit of a daze, he falls into the spring of Drowned Girl himself. Naturally the confrontation at the school goes very differently.

In the “Here’s Ranma” start up chapter Ranma doesn’t get clocked with the street sign. She is in girl form because of the rain, but walks to the Tendos on her own power. Instead of using force to get Ranma to go, Genma uses arguments. Ranma agrees to go because she is honorable and decides that she at least wants to meet these people.

Ranma asks for hot water before going to practice with Akane. Ranma decides there is something about Akane that he likes. When they spar they both start putting more power and speed into their moves. After they are done with the sparring they get cleaned up and Ranma goes down on one knee and proposes to Akane. She says yes.

When they are falling out the window at school, Ranma tries to use his flight power but Kuno lands on him and knocks them both into the pool.

When Shampoo shows up at the ice cream parlor Ranma plucks the bonborri from her hands and smashes them together, destroying them. She says, “Every time you’ve showed up I’ve smashed your little toys. When are you going to get the idea that you can’t beat me and go home?”

I have the idea that when Cologne comes she does the full-body cat tongue. When she shows the phoenix pill, Ranma uses her super speed to snatch it. However she doesn’t take the pill, but instead powers up to super saiyan. Doing this cures her of the pressure point. The manifestation of the powerful aura gets Cologne to realize that this might not be someone they want to take back to the village.

Akane doesn’t get injured and can do the gymnastics challenge and defeats Kodachi easily.
